In these Google-dominated days, why would anyone employ an Entertainment Agency? Surely any party-giver can find the live music or entertainment they require just by surfing the net?

At Dark Blues Management we are very conscious that we don't deserve your business unless we can provide something that you can't do for yourself. We like to think that our ability to give you "Added Value" comes from some or all of the following:

• Every party is different, and what works for one may not work for another. Our experience helps us to make recommendations that are right for you.
• We know and regularly employ hundreds of entertainers so we have lots of creative ideas.
• Our musicians and entertainers work regularly for us, and value the work we bring them. They know that we send them to prestigious events, and that we make sure they are looked after properly so they look forward to their gigs for us and arrive in a good frame of mind.
• There are lots of horror-stories of things going wrong in this industry, often based on mis-communication between client and artiste. We understand that, and our experience enables us to ensure that client and entertainer get what they require, and there are no surprises on the night.
• It's a terrible thing to say, but what you get on the night is not always exactly what you saw on the website, and demo CDs can be so studio-produced that the band is unrecognisable live. We have vetted all our artistes and know they can be trusted to deliver what they promise.
• We know the logistics and house rules of all the top London venues, and make sure that our artistes comply with them.
• We provide music and entertainment in literally dozens of marquees every year, and know how to avoid the traps and pitfalls around party-giving in a tent in a field.
• We have a reputation for efficiency and user-friendliness among Banqueting Managers, Toastmasters, sound and lighting companies and caterers which means that they welcome us as part of the team on any event.
• We will provide on-site coordination when appropriate, making sure that the host or party organiser does not have the responsibility of sorting out the entertainers' requirements on the night.
• Finally, our own Dark Blues band (over 5000 gigs) brings a unique brand of experience and enthusiasm to parties. We don't oversell them they are not right for every function but when a live band is the right thing for a party, there is nobody better!
